I liked Peterson and Millers dialogues and writing, which are very characteristic of the time period, and the main character, who starts as a spoiled flirtatious teenager, and, through some hard lessons, ends up becoming a mature young lady who grows to learn the meaning of real unconditional love, and to open her heart to God. REVIEWER COMMENTS: This is the second out of 3 books of the Broadmoor Legacy series, and while it continues to focus on the 3 cousins, Fanny, Sophie, and Amanda, and their sister-like bond, Sophie, who is the wildest of the three, takes center stage here, as well as her coping with her mother’s death one year earlier, her first love, her first broken heart, and her own personal journey into adulthood and coming to terms with her relationship with both hear earthly father and her Heavenly One. But after all she’s been through, can she trust him? Why does it have to be Paul Medford, the stringent young minister who works with her father, who shows up during her worst moment? Paul is full of promises, too, and it’s clear that he has feelings for Sophie. But Sophie soon learns that Wesley’s promises are nothing but words and finds herself in a very compromising situation. BOOK SUMMARY: During a trip to England, Sophie Broadmoor falls head over heels for Wesley Hedrick, a wealthy widower who promises her the world.
